France on Tuesday handed over to Belgium a French-Algerian man suspected of carrying out a deadly shooting in May at the Jewish Museum in Brussels, reports FRANCE 24.

Tine Hollevoet, a spokeswoman for the Belgian police, said 29-year-old Mehdi Nemmouche "has arrived" in Brussels. “He will be interrogated," he added.

Nemmouche initially had filed an appeal against his extradition but then dropped his objection after guarantees that he would not be sent on to another country such as Israel from Belgium, according to his lawyer.

Four people – an Israeli couple, a French woman and Belgian man – were killed in the shooting.
