'Hero' doctor is first healthcare worker to die of Covid-19 in France

Jean-Jacques Razafindranazy, a 68-year-old doctor who treated patients for coronavirus infection at a hospital in Compiègne, north of Paris, has himself died from the virus his family has announced, describing him as 'a hero' who was retired but had returned to work to help overstretched colleagues.

The Covid-19 outbreak has claimed its first fatality in the French medical profession, a 68-year-old A&E doctor who was retired but kept coming into work in order to help his colleagues, reports The Guardian.
