French court orders Amazon to ship only essential goods

US online retail giant Amazon has been ordered by a French court to only deliver essential items in France during the Covid-19 virus epidemic, warning it will be fined 1 million euros per day if it fails to comply.

Amazon has been ordered to limit French deliveries to essential goods only within 24 hours to allow for a deeper assessment of coronavirus risks at its sites in the country, trade union Sud said on Tuesday, reports CNBC
