Facebook agrees payment deal with French media over content use


Social media giant Facebook has agreed a deal with an alliance of French national and regional press groups by which it will pay for their content uploaded and shared by its users.

France has hailed a victory in its long-running quest for fairer action from tech companies after Facebook reached an agreement with a group of national and regional newspapers to pay for content shared by its users, reports The Guardian.
