French police have arrested a man carrying two handguns at a hotel in Disneyland Paris, often still called Euro Disney, reports Deutsche Welle.

A police official said the man was also carrying a copy of the Koran, the holy book of Islam.

He was "detected upon his arrival at the Disneyland hotel where he had a reservation.

Hotel security found two handguns, a Koran and ammunition," a French police official told the AFP news agency on Thursday.

The official added that no one was injured during the arrest, and refused to provide the man's name, citing French law enforcement policy.

Police said that a woman was with the man, but left as he was questioned by security.
