French President François Hollande said Saturday there will be no concessions made to Turkey on human rights or visas in exchange for a deal to halt the flow of migrants to Europe, reports The Greek Reporter.

“There cannot be any concessions on the matter of human rights or the criteria for visa liberalisation,” Hollande told reporters ahead of the resumption next week of tough negotiations between Ankara and the 28-nation European Union.

All eyes are focused now on March 17th and the start of a two-day EU-Turkey summit to finalize the commitment and clinch an iron-clad deal which European leaders hope would allow for a return to normality at their borders by the end of the year.
