Proglio drops bid to run defence firm Thales over 'Russian conflict of interest'

The former EDF chief, now advisor to Russian national nuclear corporation Rosatom, was pushed to withdraw bid by French economy minister.

Henri Proglio dropped his bid to become chairman of French defence contractor Thales after the government voiced concern over a possible conflict of interest with another role he holds advising a Russian nuclear group, reports Bloomberg.
