Airlines are reporting cancellations on Tuesday due to a 24-hour strike by French air traffic controllers, reports The Daily Telegraph.

The industrial action is expected to affect planes flying in and out of France as well as those flying through French airspace to other destinations in Europe.

France’s DGAC civil aviation authority said airlines were reducing their flights into and out of Parisian airports by 30 per cent and those to and from the cities of Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Toulouse by 20 per cent.

EasyJet has had to cancel more than 65 flights to and from French airports including Nice, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Lyon. For details on the flights that were cancelled see here.

Passengers affected by the cancellations have been advised to arrange a free transfer onto another flight within the next seven days, or alternatively, claim a full refund.
