Woody Allen is to return to France for his next film, with Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth as one of its stars, reports the BBC.

The as yet untitled feature will be the director's second film made in France, and his eighth to be set in Europe.

Allen will reunite with the same cinematographer, production designer and costume designer who worked on some of his previous European films, including 2011's Midnight in Paris.

Firth, 52, will be joined by Emma Stone from The Amazing Spider-Man.
