French riots: mayor says home was ‘rammed’ and set on fire

Mayor Vincent Jeanbrun of L’Haÿ-les-Roses, a commune in the southern suburbs of Paris, said it was an attempt to kill him; meanwhile around 700 more arrests were made across France on Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

The mayor of a Paris suburb has said his home was attacked early Sunday morning, calling it “an assassination attempt” on his family amid ongoing unrest in the country, reports CNN.
