French police moved to clear a protest camp at the site of a controversial dam project on Friday afternoon following a decision by the regional council to replace the original planned reservoir with a smaller one. Prime minister Manuel Valls said the authorities would be "extremely firm" with anyone who does not "respect the rule of law", reports RFI.
