A new airline aimed at millennials has unveiled its first destinations, with the Air France sister project launching flights to Brazil and Seychelles from May next year, reports The Telegraph.

Joon, which will be based under the watchful eye of its parent carrier at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, will first begin flying to four short-haul cities in December - Barcelona, Berlin, Lisbon and Porto - before kicking off its long-haul routes.

It has been sold as the airline of choice for those whose “lifestyles revolve around digital technology”, offering an “innovative and off-beat” option for its “young and connected” clientele.

“This new brand has been entirely designed to meet their requirements and aspirations,” said Air France at Joon’s unveiling in July. The new airline’s tagline is “the new generation travel experience”.

This week it announced its routes, with single fares to European cities starting from €39 (£34) and long-haul routes costing from €249 (£218). Fortaleza, in the north-east of Brazil and in possession of long, gorgeous beaches, and Mahe, the gateway to the Seychelles, are Joon’s inaugural far-flung destinations.
