Strike-hit easyJet to cancel 30 percent of flights in France

Airline says the fresh two-day strike by cabin crew will affect 70 flights on Wednesday, of which 38 serve Paris.

British budget airline easyJet will cancel 30 percent of its flights in France on Wednesday due to a fresh two-day strike by cabin crew, reports Yahoo! News.

Unions representing French cabin crew informed the airline of a new strike on December 31 and January 1 similar to a Christmas work stoppage to press demands for better scheduling and pay.

This time they are protesting against scheduling and a 25-percent drop in their annual bonuses, given in the form of company shares.
