French PM's deficit-reduction plan meets with outcry within Socialist Party

French Prime Minister Manuel Valls on Tuesday met a group of Socialist Party MPs to discuss softening a major deficit-reduction programme a day before it is due be presented to parliament, reports GlobalPost.
